Shillong: Food and Civil Supplies Minister Methodius Dkhar informed the Assembly on Thursday that ration rice is being distributed every month to households under the Below Poverty Line (BPL) and Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) categories.
According to the Minister, the distribution of ration rice is carried out during the third week of every month and is completed before the 30th of the same month.
The information was provided in response to a question raised by MLA Rupa Marak in the Assembly.
