Nongpoh, May 10: One pick-uo truck bearing registration number ML12 1202 carrying a load of iron rods hit one truck bearing registration number RJ 23 GB 8292 which was parked in the road as it had broken down.
The accident occured today afternoon at National Highway 6 which falls in Umdihar village. As per sources, the accident occured as a result of the high-speed with which the pick-up truck driver rode his vehicle leading him to hit the parked broken down truck at NH6 from behind.
In the accident, the pick-up truck was majorly damaged on the front portion and it is with the help of the bystanders that the driver of the pick-up truck was freed and taken by an ambulance to Civil Hospital, Nongpoh.
