SHILLONG: More than 4,300 families across Meghalaya were affected by storms in 2023, the state government informed the Assembly on Thursday. Minister in-charge of Revenue and Disaster Management, Kyrmen Shylla, revealed the figures while replying to a starred question. He further stated that the government has sanctioned ₹14.44 crore to provide compensation to the affected families.
