NPP Minister of State Ampareen Lyngdoh has reaffirmed her commitment to the National People’s Party (NPP), stating that she is fully dedicated to serving the people and has no interest in re-engaging with the Congress.
Responding to questions about whether the Congress had extended any invitation since her departure, Ampareen said, “I don’t know what the Congress wants, and I have no desire to talk about them.”
Ampareen, who left the Congress ahead of the 2023 elections, said that her focus remains on her role within the NPP. She reflected on political changes, even within her own family, saying, “Even my father has undergone many changes over time.” She dismissed any speculation about returning to the Congress, asserting that such a discussion is irrelevant. “I have won on an NPP ticket and my priority is to serve the state and face any challenges that come my way,” she said.
Ampareen further clarified that she has no intention of interfering in the affairs of other parties, nor will she push back if others want to discuss her position. “I am focused on my own party and my responsibilities,” she added.
