Myngken Christian Higher Secondary School has secured a spot in the final of the U-17 International Subroto Cup 2024 after a commanding 7-0 victory over a school from Arunachal Pradesh in the semifinal held in New Delhi. Representing Meghalaya, Myngken Christian dominated the match, with standout performances propelling them to the final, where they will face a school from Manipur.
The match saw Myngken Christian leading 2-0 at halftime, with the team adding five more goals in the second half. Banganson was the star of the game, scoring a hat-trick with goals in the 21st, 35th+1, and 46th minutes. Alicestar added two goals in the 44th and 51st minutes, while Mebanlamlynti and Mebankhraw contributed one goal each in the 39th and 65th minutes, respectively.
Myngken Christian will now prepare to face Manipur in the final after their victory over Sri Lanka in the other semifinal.
