SHILLONG: The newly constructed Mini Secretariat and Circuit House at Pynursla, East Khasi Hills, were inaugurated by Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong and senior officials.

Chief Minister Sangma said the projects reflect the government’s vision for decentralized governance and efficient service delivery. “We want a one-stop system where citizens no longer have to run from one office to another for basic services,” he said.

Highlighting the state’s development progress, he noted that MGNREGS utilization had grown from ₹500 crore in 2018 to nearly ₹2,000 crore today, while housing under PMAY increased from 5,000 to 1.5 lakh units annually.

Sangma thanked the Raid Shabong for donating land for the project, calling it a model of community partnership. Deputy CM Tynsong said the project marks a “historic milestone” for Pynursla Civil Sub-Division.
