Shillong: Meghalaya’s Riiohlang Dhar has once again been selected for the prestigious FIFA Refereeing International list for 2026. The All India Football Federation’s Referee Department formally informed the Meghalaya Football Association of her inclusion on 31 December.

Dhar, a FIFA-level assistant referee and serving Meghalaya Police officer, has officiated at numerous international events. In 2024 she became only the second Indian match official to serve at a FIFA World Cup, taking part in the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in the Dominican Republic. She was also appointed as an official for the AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup in Indonesia that same year.

Her excellence was further recognised in May 2025 when she was named Female Assistant Referee of the Year by the AIFF for 2024–25. In December, Dhar was among those honoured by the Meghalaya Football Association for their contribution to football as part of its 50th anniversary celebrations.

Her continued presence on the FIFA list is seen as a proud moment for Meghalaya and Indian football.
