SHILLONG: Meghalaya currently has eight liquor manufacturing units and one ethanol plant, Excise Minister Brening A. Sangma informed the Assembly on Tuesday.
Replying to a question in the House, the Minister said the state’s excise sector comprises bottling, brewery and distillery units producing a range of locally manufactured brands.
Among the products manufactured in the state are Vintage Cask Matured XXX Rum, Ember Gold Reserve Whisky, Cherrapunji Eastern Craft Gin, and Cherrapunji Eastern Craft Gin infused with Sohiong berries.
