The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) has officially commenced the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examinations for 2025, with a record 64,387 students appearing across 164 centres in the state.
There is a significant rise from last year’s 55,191 candidates.
The examinations began today with the English paper, while the final exam, Mathematics or Special Mathematics, is scheduled for February 25. Examination halls open at 9:30 AM, and the exams take place from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Out of the 164 examination centres, 93 are in the Shillong region (Khasi-Jaintia Hills), and 71 are in the Tura region (Garo Hills). The candidates include 37,861 female and 26,526 male students, categorized under Regular-I, Regular-II, private, non-regular, improvement, and compartmental categories.
