A tragic accident occurred on the morning of October 3 when a Maruti 800 collided with a truck near Jowai Civil Hospital, Ïalong. The Maruti driver, Maccimilan David Suchiang from Shangpung, died on the spot due to the severe impact, which completely wrecked the front of his vehicle.
The truck driver, identified as Anil Warjlem from Mawryngkneng Pomlaher, voluntarily surrendered to the Phramer Traffic Cell following the incident. The truck involved in the accident bore the registration number AS-01LC-5864.
