Shillong, March 30: A Super Carry camper vehicle was badly damaged after being hit by a landslide at Laitlyngkot along the NH-40 Shillong–Pynursla–Dawki road on Monday morning.
According to reports, the incident occurred in a stretch currently under road construction, where the terrain is considered highly vulnerable to landslides.
The area has a history of frequent landslips due to unstable slopes, making it a risky zone for commuters.
The vehicle suffered significant damage after being struck by falling debris. However, it is not yet confirmed whether there were any injuries, as authorities are still gathering details.
Officials have urged travellers to exercise caution while passing through landslide-prone areas, especially during ongoing construction work.
