Lambor Malngiang Urges Re-Election, Criticizes Opponents for Manipulating Public Support

HEADLINES

Nongkrem MDC Lambor Malngiang, contesting as an Independent in the upcoming KHADC elections, held a public rally in Nongkrem on February 17, urging voters to re-elect him.

Addressing the gathering, Malngiang criticized a newly formed political party for allegedly bringing in outsiders to fill their rally, claiming that many attendees were unfamiliar with the venue. He argued that such tactics were used to create a false impression of massive support, but in reality, these individuals would not even have votes to cast on election day.

He also responded to allegations that he was using his position as an Independent MDC for political gain. Malngiang countered by stating that those making such accusations had never contributed to the community—be it in village matters, religious organizations, or social initiatives.

Highlighting his tenure since 2019, he asserted that he had earned the trust of the people, particularly the underprivileged, who looked to him for leadership and development. Confident of continued public support, he emphasized that his leadership would ensure stability and progress in the constituency.

Additionally, Malngiang strongly condemned the mixing of politics with religion, arguing that it undermines both governance and faith.
