The Khasi Students Union (KSU) has condemned Vice Chancellor Prof. Prabha Shankar Shukla refusal to address the students’ demand for his immediate resignation.
KSU General Secretary Donald V. Thabah stated that the VC’s stance shows a disregard for NEHU and the issues facing its students. Thabah said that the KSU will continue its efforts and urged the public to stand with NEHU students in their fight for the university’s well-being.
NEHU students recently launched a strike, demanding the VC’s resignation following his refusal to dismiss the Registrar and Deputy Registrar. Several students have been hospitalized due to injuries sustained during the protest.
