Shillong: Two pedestrians were injured following the partial collapsed of the Nongthymmai Parish wall on Thursday morning.
The incident happened at around 9:25 AM in the morning.
According to reports, fortunately the two pedestrians – one male and one female sustained only minor injuries, minor damage on one Maruti Car 800 and electric poles were also reported damaged.
Richard Kahit, the Headman have said that the incident happened because a pandal erect in support of the wall collapsed due to strong wind, subsequently, both the wall and the pandal collapsed towards the road.
The headman informed that debris of the wall has causes inconvenience amongst the residents and the Shnong is taking much efforts are on to clear the road.
