SHILLONG, September 26: The Federation of Khasi Jaiñtia and Garo People (FKJGP) has directed a question to the State Government seeking to know the point in appointing consultants from outside the State when crores of money are spent on paying them.
The President of the FKJGP, Dundee C.Khongsit said that the appointment of consultants does not seem to help the State in development and is instead a waste of public money.
On the other hand, he said that the organisation as a mark of supporting the unemployed youths, on the 21st of October will organise a public rally especially after seeing that the Government cannot appoint the youths even though there are several vacant jobs in the Government departments.
On the other hand, the organisation has also strongly warned the private companies who come and set up their businesses in the State and take advantage of the youths of the State by oppressing them.
