SHILLONG, April 30: The Raid Laban Social Sports and Cultural Organisation today the 30th of April felicitated 391 students from South Shillong constituency who got good results in their different levels of studies.
The 391 students were felicitated by the RLSSCO through the support of the MLA who is also the Chairman of the organisation, Sanbor Shullai. The felicitation of the students was categorised as per the different levels of studies. Apart from felicitating the students who got good results in the SSLC, HSSLC, Undergraduate and Postgraduate examinations,the organisation also felicitated students who are from economically weaker families and students with physical disabilities but have done well in their studies.
On this day special awards were also distributed by the RLSSCO to 32 students who topped their different examinations, with Sanbor Shullai handing over laptops to them in order to encourage them in their further studies.
On this day were also present the MLA of the BJP from Pynthorumkhrah who is also the Adviser to the Chief Minister, A.L Hek as Chief Guest, the President of BJP, Meghalaya, Ernest Mawrie as the Guest of Honour, Hardeep Ryntathiang, General Secretary of the BJP, Shillong City and Wallambok Khongwir, leader of BJP Yuva, former MDC of Laban, Ricky Shullai besides other invitees and the parents of the felicitated students.
