SHILLONG,April 04: The Deputy Chief Minister,Prestone Tynsong who is also the Chairman of the High Level Committee to relocate the residents from Them Ïew Mawlong, he accepted the request of the Harijan Panchayat Committee(HPC) to have a talk on this matter which he says will probably be held in the coming week.
He said that the HPC through the petition to High Court expressed its wish to arrive at an agreement with the Government and they have made an appeal in the Court that the Government should provide a site for relocation.
With regards to the site for relocation,Tynsong said that since the High Level Committee was constituted,the aim had been to relocate all the residents from Them Ïew Mawlong to a different site but he said that at present it cannot be said as to where the new site of relocation will be,but they will know better after meeting with the HPC.
