MLAS EXITING THE CONGRESS ARE GREEDY FOR PERSONAL GAINS, THEY NO LONGER RESPECT THE PUBLIC SUPPORTERS OF THE CONGRESS PARTY, PALA

Mawkyrwat,March 07: The District Committee South West Khasi Hills District today organised a meeting at the office of the Congress party which is located in the compound of the residence of Mawkyrwat MDC, Carness Sohshang.

In his speech in this meeting, the President of the MPCC, Vincent H.Pala publicly announced that the candidate from Mawkyrwat constituency in the upcoming Assembly Election of 2023 will be Carness Sohshang and he is confident that the Congress will come back to power in the Election of 2023.

Mawkyrwat MDC,Carness Sohshang from his end has requested the electorate of the constituency to not misunderstand but that he stands firm on the objective of an MDC of the Congress party and also as a candidate who will contest in the upcoming Assembly Election from Mawkyrwat constituency.

The MPCC President, Vincent Pala said that even though the Congress MLAs have left the Congress party and joined other political parties but the people of the Congress will remain loyal to the Congress and the Congress has many candidates with good educational qualifications and positions who will come out to contest in this upcoming Election in all the 60 constituencies of Meghalaya.

He also expressed that all the MLAs who have exited the Congress party and joined other political parties have done so for their personal gains without respecting the people, the supporters of the party, the poor and needy who have led them to their victory through this Congress party and they no longer have any respect for the people and this present Government is only for the rich and the high level and no longer a Government for the people.

On this day speeches were delivered by Erwin Kharsyiem Sutnga, Secretary of the MPCC, Khrang Lyngkhoi, Vice President, MPCC, Gabriel Wahlang, MDC of Nongstoiñ, Carness Sohshang, MDC of Mawkyrwat, Vincent H.Pala amongst other leaders of the Youth and Mahila Congress.
