SHILLONG, December 19: The leader of the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) who is also the former Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Dr.Mukul Sangma said that the offer made by the Congress to work together in the Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) Government shows its greed for power in the State.
The 5 MLAs of the Congress on Friday the 17th of December met with the Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Conrad K.Sangma and made an offer to work with the MDA coalition Government in which the BJP and other political parties of the state are coalition partners.
Dr.Mukul said that the announcement of the Congress party in Meghalaya to work together with the MDA coalition Government led by the NPP and the BJP is clearly a turning over of the principles that the Congress has always upheld all along, and he also said that from 2018, there had been a few Congress MLAs who had desired to be in the Government after the elections.
