Shillong: Eugeneson Lyngdoh, son of Late S.K.Sunn, who declared today that he will be contesting the by-election from Mawphlang constituency, has come forward with the promise to follow up step by step the pending work in completing the work associated with First Ground of Shillong Sports Association at Polo Grounds.
After the meeting that declared his candidature for the upcoming by-election, Eugeneson said that even if he is not elected as a leader in SSA but yet as a son, it is his duty to take the responsibility of completing what his late father had started as President of the association.
With regards to two football clubs established by his late father fondly known also as Bahdeng Sun,Eugeneson had said that Rangdajied and Nangkiew Irat are the beloved children of his late father, the objective of which was to create a platform for the youth of the state to showcase their talents in the game of football at Polo Grounds which will pave a way for them to represent the country and therefore what his father had started, the support to the two clubs will continue.
On being asked if he will be part of SSA, Eugeneson said that this matter is not up to him but up to the members and leaders of the association.
