A group of unidentified miscreants launched a violent attack on the house of Theresa Dkhar, the sister of Mawchynrut MLA, late at 11:30 PM on March 11, 2025, in Seiñduli village, Riangdo, West Khasi Hills District.
According to reports, the attackers pelted stones and hurled explosive materials at the residence, causing damage to the property. Fortunately, no injuries were reported among the occupants.
Hearing the commotion, residents of the house rushed outside, prompting the miscreants to flee. Witnesses spotted a Grand Vitara vehicle (ML10 D 0254) at the scene, later identified as belonging to Skhemborlin Hoojon.
Following the attack, Theresa Dkhar and her husband, Alberal Thongni, filed an FIR at Riangdo Police Station. Law enforcement has since arrested one suspect, identified as Firstbonshine Palair from Seiñduli 1, who is believed to have been involved in the incident. Police investigations are ongoing.
