The ongoing conflict involving Iran, Israel, and the United States has begun impacting fuel prices in India, with premium petrol witnessing a hike of ₹2–₹2.3 per litre across the country.
While regular petrol and diesel prices remain unchanged, premium fuel such as XP95 has risen to around ₹101.80 per litre. The increase is attributed to rising global crude oil prices, which have surged to nearly $100 per barrel amid escalating tensions in West Asia.
The price hike has affected major oil companies like Indian Oil Corporation, Hindustan Petroleum, and Bharat Petroleum. Additionally, the weakening of the Indian Rupee against the US Dollar has further contributed to the increase.
Experts warn that fuel prices may continue to rise in the coming weeks if the global situation worsens.
