In light of the upcoming General Elections to the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) 2025, the Deputy Commissioner (Excise), East Khasi Hills District, has announced a Dry Day across the district on February 21, 2025, the polling day, and February 24, 2025, the day for counting of votes.
During these days, all bonded warehouses, microbreweries, IMFL ‘OFF’ and ‘ON’ shops, homemade wine licensed premises, wine and beer bars, home delivery licensed premises, canteens, and out-stills will remain closed to ensure a smooth and peaceful electoral process.
