Shillong: The leader of the Opposition in the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly who is also the leader of the All India Trinamool Congress in Meghalaya, Dr.Mukul Sangma has informed that from his end he has taken the step to file a complaint or make the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi hear about the matter pertaining to the implementation of the smart meter in the State.
Speaking to media persons today at the party office Dr.Mukul Sangma said that he has taken this step in part to uphold the statement which as the Prime Minister of the country had clearly stated that corruption shall not tolerated at all.
Therefore, in order to get a sooner intervention from the Prime Minister, he took on the responsibility to write a letter to him by urging him to constitute an independent enquiry committee under the jurisdiction of the authorised department.
