CONGRESS MLAS READY TO GIVE GOVERNMENT SUGGESTIONS TO MAKE PEACE TALK WITH THE HNLC A SUCCESS

SHILLONG, February 16: The leader of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP), Dr.M.Ampareen Lyngdoh said that the desire to hold a peace talk with the HNLC has been pending for many years and applauded the requisite responsibility taken by the Chief Minister, Conrad Kongkal Sangma on the eagerness of the Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council (HNLC) to come forward for a peace talk.

She said that the Congress MLAs will give their full support to making this aim a reality and if the Chief Minister wants their support or suggestions to make this long-awaited aim a reality, they are ready. She said that as citizens, all want peace and harmony to return and prevail and for the youths too to see a ray of hope and clarity.

Lyngdoh said that the public yearn and expect for peace to return following the presence of militant outfits in the State and expressed also that this peace talk will be a success and those that have been led astray will come back to the mainstream and lead a new life in peace.
