Shillong: Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on Friday announced that the second installment of the Post-Matric Scholarship will be released on November 29 for students across the state.
He informed that the scholarship amount will take around two to three working days to reflect in students’ bank accounts. According to the Chief Minister, over 70,000 students will benefit from the scheme, with the total amount nearing ₹130 crore.
“As I had promised all of you this year, I will ensure that the scholarship amount is released before Christmas and that is exactly what I am doing,” Sangma said.
The Chief Minister added that the timely release of funds will significantly support students in various aspects of their education.
