Jowai: Saw Lyngdoh Higher Secondary School, Mookaïaw,West Jaiñtia Hills District today celebrated its Golden Jubilee, 50 years of its service in imparting education since it was first established by (L) Thomlin Suchiang in 1971. The Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Shri. Conrad K.Sangma attended the celebration as Chief Guest accompanied by Education Minister and Home Minister,Shri.Lahkmen Rymbui as Guest of Honour, Shri.Sniawbhalang Dhar, Minister of Commerce & Industries,Tourism, local MLA, Shri.Nujorki Sungoh who also conducted the function, Principal of the School,Smti. Volinda Lyngdoh and many others.
The programme was held enthusiastically with many students taking part in song and traditional dance performances with many people residing in the area of Laskeiñ Block also present.
