Two Minor Girls Missing from Nonglang; Families Appeal for Their Safe Return

Shillong, March 31: Two minor girls from Nonglang village in South West Khasi Hills District have gone missing since the morning of March 30, 2026, prompting concern among family members and locals.

The missing girls have been identified as Fencyrose Marwein (17) and Sanihun Kharlyngdoh (16).

According to their mothers, Sisterlin Marwein and Sinora Kharlyngdoh, the girls have been untraceable since Monday morning. Despite efforts by family members to search for them, their whereabouts remain unknown.

The families have made an emotional appeal urging the girls to return home safely, assuring them that they will not be questioned or punished.

They have also appealed to the public to assist in locating the girls. Anyone with information is requested to contact 9402540585.

An FIR has been lodged at Mawkyrwat Police Station on March 31, and police have been requested to help trace the missing girls.
