The Me’gong Festival 2025 has raised the excitement even further with two major international additions—Blue, the iconic British pop-R&B boy band, and Julian Marley, globally renowned reggae artiste and son of the legendary Bob Marley. They will perform alongside previously announced headliners Richard Marx and Yellow Claw when the festival returns to Tura on December 5 and 6, 2025.
This year’s lineup is among the festival’s most diverse, blending global superstars with top Indian performers and homegrown talent. Bollywood singers Kanika Kapoor and Neeti Mohan will bring strong contemporary Indian music representation to the stage.
Me’gong 2025 will also spotlight outstanding local acts including Rough Road, Hoi Hoi Makbil, Haystack Ladies, G-Hills Finest, Crack Gang, and Ahaia, ensuring a vibrant mix of global soundscapes and Garo Hills’ cultural identity.
Under the vision of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Conrad K. Sangma, Me’gong continues to strengthen Meghalaya’s cultural economy by boosting tourism, supporting creative livelihoods, and promoting indigenous heritage. The 2024 edition drew over 3 lakh visitors, cementing the Garo Hills as a major cultural destination.
Beyond world-class performances, the festival offers an immersive cultural experience featuring Garo cuisine, traditional crafts, weaving and bamboo workshops, beaded jewellery, and strong sustainability practices including zero-plastic operations and community-led waste management.
