Shillong: The security agency employing Parmen M. Sangma, the guard who drove into two NEHU students while allegedly intoxicated on the evening of November 17, has terminated him from service with immediate effect.
Assistant Security Officer of RSSO, Questerwell Kharsahnoh, confirmed the decision, stating that the organisation condemns Sangma’s reckless actions. He said the agency will not tolerate employees reporting to duty under the influence of alcohol or engaging in behaviour that compromises public safety.
Kharsahnoh also conveyed condolences to the families of the victims and extended wishes for a speedy recovery to the two injured students.
