Shillong, Oct 19 — The General Secretary of Nongrah, Bah Pynshaiborlang Pyngrope, has urged the police to expedite their investigation and arrest those involved in the brutal killings of two young children in the locality.
Speaking during a candlelight vigil held in memory of the victims, Pyngrope acknowledged the ongoing efforts of the police but said that the community remains deeply anxious as the culprits are still at large. “The police have worked tirelessly, but we urge them to speed up the process. Until the perpetrators are caught, parents and residents continue to live in fear,” he said.
He expressed concern that anti-social elements still roam freely among the public, warning that such circumstances pose a serious threat to safety and peace in Nongrah if swift arrests are not made.
