The Dr. H. Gordon Roberts Hospital, Jaïaw, Shillong, has inaugurated a newly renovated General Gynaecology Ward to enhance healthcare services for women on Thursday.
The renovation of the ward, which cost ₹20.8 lakh, was generously funded by the K. Tiew EMS Trust based in the United Kingdom.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Dr. R. Nongrum, Medical Superintendent of the hospital; Rev. S.S. Majaw, Chairman of the Governing Board; K.W. Marbaniang (IAS), Administrative Officer; Samita Kurbah, Administrative Assistant; engineers and hospital staff.
The newly renovated ward was officially inaugurated by Michael Kharsyntiew, a representative of the K. Tiew EMS Trust.
The hospital expressed gratitude to the trust for its contribution, emphasising that the upgraded facilities will significantly improve patient care and treatment for women.
