Mawkyrwat, June 22: With grave concern the followers of Renikton Lyngdoh Tongkhar, MLA of Mawkyrwat constituency with a sympathetic heart over the unfortunate incident today visited to express their condolence as well as to extend a cash packet to the two children of (L) Hailsentinari Marweiñ who passed away on the 16th of June as a result of her house getting buried under a mudslide in Jashiar,South West Khasi Hills District.
The people of Tongkhar consisted of elders from the locality and area have also urged upon the State Government to speed up the process of extending help to this household which was announced through Renikton Lyngdoh Tongkhar as the Chairman of the Regional Committee formed by the State Government on matters pertaining to such incidents resulting from the forces of nature and heavy rainfall in the past few days.
The family expressed their gratitude to all those who have come to express their sympathies to them especially the children and father who have lost the mother of the house.
On this day a cash packet was handed over to them by Synshar Lyngkhoi in the presence also of elders who joined hands in this generous charitable act and the elders of the Jashiar village and a few relatives of the woman who passed away.
