Shillong: The Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) Government today celebrated 4 consecutive years of governance in the State and to commemorate this day, the Government released a book entitled, ” Meghalaya On The Move”, in a gathering held at the Soso Tham Auditorium.
Speaking at the gathering, Conrad Kongkal Sangma claimed that in the last 4 years, the Government gave all departments of the Government the freedom to take decisions or initiatives on their own, as an endeavour to allow all stakeholders to individually contribute to the welfare of the State.
However, in this journey of four years, as a Government it could not escape the problems which were eventually controlled through the cooperative spirit of working with one mind and might to succeed in implementing the processes for the benefit of the people and the developmental works.
As an example, Sangma expressed the successful implementation of the PMGSY scheme, which in these four years has covered many road and in the tenure from 2018-2022, about 1,851 kms length of road in rural areas was completed at a cost of ₹1,300 crores.
One of the aims that this Government has set forward to ensure is that in the next 10 years, the State will be amongst the top 10 developed states in the country.
In this day of celebration, the Government came forward to announce more developmental schemes for the people.
